Daniel Boud is a Sydney-based photographer specialising in arts and culture as well as commercial campaigns. Known for his sophisticated, emotive use of lighting and striking portraiture, he has been a finalist in the National Photographic Portrait Prize, the Moran Portrait Prize and the Head On Portrait Prize.

Daniel’s extensive portfolio of local and international talent includes musicians, actors, dancers, drag queens, athletes, chefs, artists and more. It spans everyone from Flume to Cate Blanchett and Ai Wei Wei. His portraits have appeared on magazine covers and editorials, book covers, album covers and on movie posters.

As well as being Time Out Sydney’s Chief Photographer, Daniel works regularly with many of Australia’s top performing arts organisations, including Sydney Theatre Company, Bangarra Dance Theatre, Belvoir St Theatre, The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and Sydney Opera House.

He also boasts a range of clients from other creative and cultural sectors, among them Destination NSW, Foxtel, Vivid Sydney, MTV, Carriageworks, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, AFL Women’s and several restaurants.

Daniel brings a unique artistic approach to commercial advertising and has photographed successful campaigns for a host of companies including Samsung, Lynx, Foxtel, Acer and Airbnb.
